- 电视为王的时代，纸媒在与视觉新闻的竞争中败下阵来，甚至沦为被利用的工具（如路妍真指出），报纸销量以收视率的身份登场，让杀人与自首有机会成为预先彩排的媒介事件。当电视被不可避免地沾染上主观色彩之后，新闻似乎也就成为了某种布道传教的工具，宣扬的主义被吸收被传播被模仿，真相远不及情绪重要。如果说《与恶》是让我们站在边界线上审视人性的黑白与复杂，那《模仿犯》更像试图让我们更好地找到站位点，司法正义、新闻伦理、民众素养，要如何实现制约以平衡以及平衡以公正。当然这些主题放在如今确实有些陈旧，不过好在本土化改编做得很好，吴慷仁稳定发挥。
