- 原著小说想要展现的东西，影视化以后就成了注水国产网剧，演员找的稀里糊涂，完全对应不上书中角色，插叙乱入跟之前那个12分钟用了同一种手法，小说里还是一种蛮常见悬疑处理方法，但用在影视作品里生搬硬套就显得太幼稚与太无聊了。
- 原著故事以奇情取胜，想把丁元英塑造成破格傲世的神人，其内核是不能免俗的全能自恋。电视剧几乎一字一句照搬小说，纯粹因王志文一人的演技，立住了男主角复杂的人格，拔高了小说的境界，但拯救不了故事本身的缺陷。丁元英的精神原型并非人神魔佛的任一种，他是堕天使，不邪恶，也有求道的纯洁，因此有魅力。堕天使在人群中试图取神而代之，正如他无情操纵众生命运。从小说到电视剧，感觉创作者对这种无情是肯定的，也使得故事脱离不了自恋阴影，不能实现真正的破格。
