- 五星给第一单元。在功勋能文能武李延年之前从来没感觉到指导员的重要性，功勋李延年把这部分讲清楚了，终于明白我军为什么有这么强大的战斗力。我们有那么多好的故事和题材，以前一直都没有拍过。
- 李延年部分拍得真是好，骨架正且有血有肉，尤其是令人信服地诠释了：志愿军在如此艰苦的战场条件下能和美军打得有来有回，这究竟是怎么做到的？基层部队的思想政治工作对我军战斗力有多重要，这是本世纪以来众多类似题材影视作品都没有深入或故意忽略的问题。
